IBC Bank DOES NOT HONOR ThEIR OWN MONEY ORDERS
I have a client that is paying on a judgment against him. He banks with IBC Bank and purchased a Money order for one of the installment payments towards payoff of the judgment.
The recipient of the Money Order payment went to an IBC Bank to cash it and was told he could not cash it unless he had an account with them. He was told to go to a Money Gram location and they would cash it, as IBC Banks Money Orders are essentially a Money Gram. The gentleman went to Walmart where you can buy and cash Money Grams and was told that because the information was "hand written" in, they would not accept it. Every money order I have ever purchased you have had to write in the information, Including Money Grams.
So what gives. This is outrageous!
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Monetary Loss: $417.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.
IBC Bank Cons: Do not honor their own product worthless money orders.
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
